What if you could take the powerful words on your website and transform them into a visual story that people can’t look away from? That was the question behind this promotional concept for the Spark & Bang agency. This project is a case study in using motion design to boost engagement and SEO by turning static content into a memorable experience.
Let’s start with the finished piece. This is the concept animation in its final form, created to give viewers a quick, vibrant, and informative look into what makes Spark & Bang unique.
Now, let’s pull back the curtain. The video below is a tour of my process, showing how I moved from brand research to the final, fluid animation. It highlights both the strategic thinking and the technical craft involved.
Building a Fluid Phone Rig
The first part of the process video shows the “phone flux” 2D rig I built. In motion design, a good rig is everything. It’s what allows for smooth, believable movement. This custom setup gave me the creative freedom to animate the phone’s UI and interactions seamlessly, making the digital world on screen feel tangible and dynamic.
Storyboarding
Effective animation begins with a well-planned approach. To build the storyboard, I didn’t just imagine what to say—I went directly to the source. I thoroughly analysed the Spark & Bang website, pulling their headlines, service descriptions, and core values. This research-first approach ensures the animation is a natural extension of their brand, speaking their language and reinforcing their message with every frame.
